M1: Content, Distribution and Marketing Methods

The film we have created fits the brief as it is below the maximum 10 minute run time, it also easily identifies as a horror film, we are working in a group of three and each member of the group has a specific role. 

Ben is the acting camera operator/manager, Sam is the editor/audio manager, Aalyan is the director and equipment/prop manager. The idea sparked from a real life experience of the directors and is therefore completely original. The music we will use will be sourced from a copyright free website/content creator for example NCS on youtube.

To promote Pineclones we would use methods such as: media advertisement- these include methods such as advertising on websites such as Twitter and Instagram, by advertising the film on websites such as these will allow our film to reach a greater audience worldwide and will allow our audience to share the film with other people who might enjoy the same content as shown in our film. Another method to promote our film further could possibly be the making of merchandise, this will allow our audience to purchase products related to our film possibly allowing us to gain a larger audience if they see others wearing merchandise like clothing that advertises our film

I have looked through many distributors and after many conversations with others within the production, we have decided that 'Shorts International Ltd" is the best distributor for our horror movie.

Because of the available short film distributors not specifically distributing horror films we have decided to base our decision on what the distributor offers, for example having the "largest catalogue dedicated to short movies" and being able to offer the best short films over the widest variety of areas such as United States, Europe and Asia.
