M2: Justifying the choice of planned campaign components by targeted sector.

The material that will be included in my campaign will follow a two tone theme, in which there is a dark side represented by darker colours such as grey and blacks, this section will represent the domestic abuse and drug abuse that takes place within the show. This will be contrasted by brighter colours such as bright blues and greens this is done to represent the football aspect of the show and an escape route to better things. I feel these colours and images will help attract BBC Threes' transgressive audience as they enjoy watching shows that include drug use and the affects of it as well as character progression.

Print Media:
As print media is declining in viewership and engagement, due to the advancements in digital media, making it easier to access or view anything. I still intend to use print media as there is still an audience to promote to. The majority of the print advertisements will be done through billboards and adverts in magazines. The audiences I want to engage are ABC1C2 social grade for the football aspect. To do this we will place adverts on billboards near secondary schools, football grounds colleges/universities and football stores. The style of the adverts and campaign in a whole is heavily based around football so by promoting around footballing facilities should help build an audience.

I will be advertising in popular football magazines such as 'fourfourtwo' , 'Kicker' and 'Match', this will be key when trying to gain an audience as it will be advertised to the ideal target audience.

Digital Media

Living in a digital age means that the amount of users online is greater than ever. With pretty much every teenager and young adult using their phone daily. As well as having one or more social page.

Thus meaning their is a large audience to advertise to, with the majority of the audience also being within the age group. To promote on digital platforms I will take advantage of the ever growing social media as well as TV and Radio.

Social Media
Social media will be the main focal point of our advertising campaign. This is as it allows us to attract a large audience that target sour demographic as 94% of 16-24 year olds in the UK use social media websites everyday. We will be creating Pages on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Our pages will interact with audiences of  large football related pages such as, SportBible , Benchwarmers, 433 and Grassroots. We will release small campaigns and teaser trailers on our social platforms as well. Eventually leading to the actual release of the trailer. We aim to release the trailer initially on YouTube. As well as on BBC3 and The website. The type of adverts I aim to create for social media are 'Gifs' of the cast from the trailer as well as 'Meme' images to help try connect to the target audience as this targeted demographic. These will be advertised on our Twitter and Instagram pages. We will also use sections from our trailer to create pop up advertisements on snap-chat, as we have a large demographic that also use this platform.

Television
Even though TV is no longer as popular as it once was due to online streaming devices such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. It still has a large audience to promote to especially a footballing audience as Most professional football is shown on mainstream TV. This is the sector that we are aiming to attract to out TV drama. We will show advertisements in breaks between TV shows, and football games. The TV sector may be losing out to Netflix and other streaming websites but there are still 60% of older teens that watch TV for an average of 20 hours per week. This is still a major sector of advertising for us as it targets our demographic perfectly as well as allowing us to expand our reach to these specific audiences.

Online
Online media has taken over and is basically running a monopoly over TV. We plan on working on advertising on streaming websites such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube Red alongside with BBC3 to help us promote our series as well as helping the streaming sites. We will display banner advertisements across these websites as well as playing sections of our trailer. This will work well as these streaming sites run algorithms to identify what each specific customer has an interest in thus meaning it will advertise our TV series to its specific audience. Using online methods is fantastic as ity targets our demographically perfectly with 92% of older teenagers and young adults in the UK admit to having access to a Netflix account.

Radio
Radio is a major part of advertising as it has a consistent large audience with around 90% of the UK population listening to the radio at least once per week. So by having a radio advert will mean that we advertise our TV series to even more people helping gain a great audience. As the TV series is based on football we will aim to advertise on Radio shows such as Talk sport, BBC Radio 5 Live and Talksport2. By doing this we will be advertising and playing our advertisement to our specific target audience meaning they are more likely to watch the show.
