How could the impact on the production of a media product
Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)
To authorise all adverts that are going to be visible to  an audience
Cannot enforce any legal action but can pull down any adverts
Advertising on all media
Adverts can only be advertised when approved by the ASA
British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)
To monitor and rate what ages and audiences movies and films are suitable for
Should anything be produced that breaches the UK law the film will be denied a certificate.
Cinema Films, DVDs
Impacts film production as they can’t release a film without an age rating which they give out however they do not monitor Netflix.
Pan European Game Information (PEGI)
To monitor and rate what ages computer games are suitable for
To enforce age ratings on games. But have no power to sue or take any criminal action.
Computer Games
To significantly minimise target audiences and only aimed towards those with in the age rating.
Ofcom
To monitor what is being put on TV , Radio and Telecommunications
To abide by legal powers of the government and to take action on inappropriate content.

To stop and inappropriate content being outputted
Performing rights for society (PRS)
To monitor and make sure that all artist are being paid for when their music is being used
To take legal action against those who unlawfully use others music.
Music
Could cause a decrease in music being played as companies may not be able to afford to pay PRS and are not willing to risk a fine
Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO)
To hold newspapers and magazines to account for their actions, protect individual rights, uphold high standards of journalism and help to maintain freedom of expression for the press.
To potentially sue any newspaper organisations that unlawfully mislead customers and readers.
Newspapers and Magazines
Will see more truthful headlines being portrayed to the general public,
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
To help develop the web and to monitor what is being put on to the internet as well to allow it to run at its best

Will stop inappropriate websites from being easily accessed etc.
